About us
Straightforward HVAC Service in the South Bay
Ozone Air Conditioning & Heating repairs and installs home cooling and heating systems in Santa Clara and the surrounding South Bay. Our work starts with finding out what is actually wrong: we test the system, explain what we found in plain terms, and lay out your options before any work begins. Some problems call for a simple repair; others raise the question of whether replacement makes more sense. We walk you through that decision honestly, including how the valley's hot inland summers and mild, damp winters affect which equipment fits your home. You decide what gets done, and we keep you informed from the first visit through the final check.
More about how we workWhat to expect
How a visit goes
-
Find the cause first
We test and inspect the system before suggesting a fix, so you aren't paying for parts that don't solve the problem.
-
Explain your options clearly
We tell you what we found, what each option involves, and what we'd consider if it were our own home. Then you choose.
-
Match equipment to your home
For new installations, we size and select equipment based on your home and how hot your part of the valley gets in summer, not on a one-size-fits-all approach.
FAQ
Common questions
Should I repair my air conditioner or replace it?
It depends on what failed, how old the system is, how often it has needed repairs, and whether it keeps your home comfortable. We diagnose the problem first, then explain the repair and replacement options so you can weigh them with the full picture.
Do the new Bay Area Air District rules mean I have to replace my gas furnace?
No. The Air District's appliance rules don't require replacing working equipment. They apply only when a furnace fails or is replaced. For furnaces manufactured from 2029 on, a zero-NOx standard applies, which in practice points homeowners toward heat pumps when they replace a furnace after that date.
Can I still get the federal tax credit for a heat pump?
The federal Energy Efficient Home Improvement Credit covered qualifying heat pumps placed in service before December 31, 2025. It is not available for installations after that date.
Are there local incentives for heat pumps?
Bay Area homeowners can check BayREN and their local clean energy provider for current heat pump and electrification incentives. Amounts and availability change with each funding cycle, so we confirm the current offer before including it in a quote.
What should I check before calling about a system that won't cool or heat?
Make sure the thermostat is set to the right mode and temperature, check that its batteries aren't dead, look for a tripped breaker, and check whether the air filter is clogged. If those all look fine and the system still isn't working, it's time for a diagnosis.
Which areas do you serve?
